Cassandra is passionate about serving her community through design. Before joining the Backpack team, she worked at the University of California, Irvine as an Assistant Graphic Design Manager and Yearbook Advisor, where she also earned her BA in Art and BS in Informatics with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction. She worked closely with students to create visuals for events aimed at promoting inclusion, improving accessibility to student resources, enhancing mental and physical health, and fostering a well-rounded university life for students. She continues to develop tools to assist educators and students in achieving their goals.

When she’s not designing, you can find her drawing, browsing through bookstores, or experimenting with new Filipino recipes in the kitchen.
